Join this two-day concentrated training event designed specifically for first or second year principals. This institute will address pertinent issues and common challenges facing novice administrators. Tentative topics will include but are not limited to: The Leader in You; Legal Issues Impacting Principals; Straight Talk from the SDE; Administration is Awesome…and Awful…and Awesome! Learning to Balance Them is the Key; The Ins and Outs of School Finance; What Keeps Me Up at Night and What Keeps Me Going; Trending Issues in Special Education; and Relationships: The Key to Success. Sessions culminate with table discussions led by trained mentors. Build a professional network of support and gain new ideas to put into practice the day you return to work.
Free Registrations are available on a first come, first serve basis to the first 150 registered first or second-year principals only. FREE registrations and material(s) in this activity were funded all/in part by a grant authorized under Title II, Part A, Improving Teacher Quality State Grants, Section 2113, State Uses of Funds, through the Alabama State Department of Education. Attendees accepting FREE registrations must attend the entire conference; if unable to attend the entire conference, attendee will be billed registration fee.
