Prattville, Ala: Janice Stockman, principal of Prattville Jr. High School, has been named District 3 Middle School Principal of the Year sponsored by Jostens.
Stockman is in her 23rd year as an educator and has previously filled the roles of elementary teacher, special education teacher, Federal Programs / Curriculum Administrator, Assistant Principal and Principal. She is a marathon runner, recipient of the 2014 Assistant Principal of the year award, 2018 AUM Champion of Education, adjunct teacher at Athens State University, and an author.
“This honor is greatly undeserved and truly appreciated for it is a testament to the efforts of our staff, parents, and students to ensure a culture of excellence for all stakeholders. I am happy to represent this amazing group of educators,” said Mrs. Stockman.
Stockman was recognized at the 2018 AASSP/AAMSP Fall Conference in November.
