Hoover, Ala. – Jennifer Hogan, assistant principal at Hoover High School, has been named one of the three finalists for the National Assistant Principal of the Year by the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP). She was selected as a finalist among nominees from each of the 50 states, District of Columbia, U.S. Department of Defense Education Activity and U.S. Department of State Offices of Overseas Schools.
NASSP annually recognizes assistant principals who have succeeded in providing high quality learning opportunities for students. These assistant principals are acknowledged by their peers for the exemplary contributions they have made to the profession.
In November, Hogan was nominated as Alabama’s Assistant Principal of the Year by the Alabama Association of Secondary School Principals. The other finalists are Erica Page of Pelion High School in Pelion, South Carolina, and Justin Szews of Lakeland Union High School in Minocqua, Wisconsin.
