Oak Mountain High School Principal Named District 5 Winner for High School Principal of the Year
Sponsored by American Fidelity

Montgomery, Ala:  Dr. Kristi Sayers, principal of Oak Mountain High School, has been named District 5 High School Principal of the Year.

"I am honored to work alongside so many great leaders in District 5 and am humbled to represent them as District 5 Principal of the Year,” said Sayers. “I know every day we all come to work with one goal: changing the lives of students for the better.  My philosophy is together we succeed--school, family, and community."

Shelby County Superintendent, Randy Fuller said, “Dr. Sayer's leadership has been instrumental in the success of Oak Mountain High School.  Her attention to detail as well as her focus on professional development and instruction has made her a key leader in Shelby County Schools!”

Sayers will be interviewed by a selection committee at the 2017 AASSP/AAMSP Fall Conference in November, and one overall winner will be chosen from the eight district winners and named Alabama Principal of the Year. The 2018 Principal of the Year will represent Alabama in the National Principal of the Year program sponsored by the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP).

Thank you to American Fidelity for their continued support and recognition of outstanding Alabama public school administrators.
